I'm 22 years old & I wish to learn classical dance. Bharathanatyam is what I have decided upon. I wanted to understand if I can proceed with my wish? Any suggestions?

Hi Amrutha, Age is no barrier. If you put your heart and mind to it, the sky is your limit. There are 80 year olds who still dance with the same ease of a 20 year old. All the renowned dancers of bharatnatyam are in their 40s now. Go for it :)

Learning has no age limit friend. but bharathanatyam needs a physical strength and patience .. so prepare yourself accordingly and start learning . A good teacher will mold you accordingly.

You are in the prime of life! This is the right age to learn Bharatnatyam. You may be thinking this way that one usually sees much younger girls learning Bharatnatyam. One of the reason for that is parent desires. By the time one become more independent, his/her interests may lie elsewhere.
