My journey began with a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam, earning a Prabhakar degree, and a junior diploma in Kathak. Over the years, I’ve expanded my repertoire by attending Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts, where I learned Salsa, Hip-hop, and Contemporary dance styles. This diverse background has enabled me to bring a unique blend of classical and modern dance forms to my teaching. I started my dance journey with Bharatanatyam classes in Patna, and after 6 years of intense training, I explored other dance forms through various workshops and courses. I’ve taught dance at prestigious schools like Vaidehi School of Excellence in Bangalore for 6 years, Pratham International School, and Bishop Scott Girl School. As a contractual dance teacher for annual day and sports events, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students in their artistic expression through dance. I also ran my own dance academy in Patna before shifting to one-on-one classes, adapting to my relocation. As a freelancer, I continue to share my passion for dance with students through both online and offline classes. My sessions, which last between 40 minutes to an hour, cater to all age groups with batches of 8 to 10 students. Each session is designed to be interactive and engaging, combining practical dance lessons with quizzes and fun facts about different dance forms to deepen the students' understanding. I have had the honor of performing Bharatanatyam and Kathak at various festivals and cultural programs, including those organized by government and non-government bodies. A notable highlight of my career was performing for a cultural event in front of the Governor of India, a moment that truly marked my growth as an artist. My teaching approach focuses on making dance enjoyable while ensuring that students grasp the technicalities of each style. Whether it’s for fitness, hobby, or professional development, I create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can explore and improve their skills. I am a post graduate in bharathanatyam from annamalai university, chidambaram, well trained in both theory and practical knowledge. I have been training students for past 7 years both offline and online. As a performer I have choreographed many urupadis. Critics and connoisseurs have applauded me for bringing depth, passion, and spontaneity into my work, conferred with kalai ilamani title from government of tamilnadu & yuva shree kala bharathi.
