I have been a full-time drum teacher since 2015. Have worked at Wings School of Music, NAD School of Music. Currently I teach at my own drum school, The Drum Room. My drum teaching career started in 2004, in Bangalore. From 2007-09 i worked as a drum teacher in Abu Dhabi (UAE). From 2010 till now i'm conducting classes in Bangalore. I teach drumming with the standard staff notation, which is a universal medium of writing music. I give lot of importance for sight reading skills also, so that the students are able to learn on their own, in future. They will be able to read music fluently, and they can download and learn songs on their own. I encourage the students to do Trinity Guildhall as well as Trinity Rock and Pop exams, so that they can get a international certificate and have something tangible to show for their achievements. I am sending students for exams from 2011. These certificates can add on to their extra curricular activities. Students who are applying for universities abroad has a huge advantage of getting credits from these certificates as well . Five times my students have got top marks in Bangalore.
