Interphase: Preparation Phase
* G₁ (Gap 1): The cell grows in size and makes proteins.
* S (Synthesis): The cell copies its DNA.
* G₂ (Gap 2): The cell continues to grow and prepares for division.
M Phase (Mitosis): Division Phase
* Prophase: Chromosomes condense and become visible.
* Metaphase: Chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
* Anaphase: Sister chromatids are pulled to opposite sides of the cell.
* Telophase: Two new nuclei form, and the cell begins to split.

Catenation is the ability of carbon to form strong covalent bonds with other carbon atoms, creating long chains, branched structures, or rings. This is possible because: Carbon-carbon bonds are strong and stable Carbon can bond with many other elements like hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, etc., allowing complex structures.
