JEE Preparation: Why it is important to say 'NO' to

When 13+ lakhs students are appearing for JEE to secure a seat in one of the IITs, you need to be cautious enough to avoid committing common mistakes. Here is the list:

Neglecting School Lectures: Remember coaching classes are your supportive plan, don't ever neglect school lectures for that. Often students don't pay enough attention at school thinking they will cover up in coaching class. This is a serious mistake, committed by most JEE aspirants. You can get the best out of coaching classes, when you have clarity on fundamental concepts. So don't forget to pay attention at school!

Not Making a Plan: Most of JEE aspirants study in a haphazard manner which keep them from achieving right results from their efforts. Whether you realize the importance of a timetable, it is one of the best way to keep yourself on the right track. It also helps you to change your study plan as per your needs and developments.

Postponing Regular Study: Now often than not students think they will cover everything just a few days ahead of the JEE exam. Well, if you are doing this you are definitely in the wrong direction. Switch your gear right now and start devoting at least 4-5 hours every day for JEE preparation.

Poor Time Management: If you look at the JEE syllabus, it would take years for any JEE aspirants to finish the syllabus. But here is the real take on, allocate time on topics or need basis and get yourself glued to the plan.

Choosing Wrong Coaching Institutes: Students as well as parents fall for huge promises and advertisements while choosing a coaching institute. Better judge and look into pros and cons before shelling out your hard earned money.

Not Working on Weak Areas: Once you go through different topics and take up mock tests, make a point to analyze your answers to know your weak areas. Generally, students rush through various test papers and not bothered to analyze their performance. This doesn't give them insights in their weak areas. You stand to score better when you work to improve your weak points.
