Is Indian classical singing harder to learn and practice than Western Music?

We can not compare between the styles of music as each has its unique feature. Even for western basics will be from classical western only

Both of them have their own requirements. Whereas, Indian Classical is more about practice of your taals and raags western Classical focuses on the articulation and proper positioning of your mouth and body postuires first.

I dont think it makes much difference...some times you will get the only benefit of Scale....otherwise the teacher has to shift into your Scale to teach you but in same gender case, you will find no scale shifting issues...
