What is a "silent" violin? Can you hear it?

0 0

Richa replied | 04/04/2016

Silent violin is an electric violin without any resonating chamber (sound box) unlike traditional/acoustic violin, that's why it doesn't create much sound, but u can hear it.. also, if u want to perform for some other person, u should plug into a speaker...

What are pegs?

0 0

Richa replied | 28/03/2016

pegs are the tuners (generally wooden) you can see around the scroll of the violin, 2 on the left side and 2 on the right side. they are used only when the whole note or scale is to be changed e,g, from 'c' to 'd', otherwise the fine tuners are used (when the violin is slightly untuned).

How a violin is assembled?

0 0

Daniel replied | 14/05/2016

Using wood. It stans on a small stick called sound post which would take you months of practise to make it stand..

0 0

Bishwatosh replied | 28/05/2016

Using a round piece of wood it requires a correct placement beneath the right leg of bridge with the help of a tool called 'soundness setter'. But this particular tool is not available in the market. I suggest not to try to set the post as there is every chances of damage the sound hole of the violin.
