Its not a tough exam... All you need is the right approach & right guidance. If you can understand the needs of the exam you can crack it easily. Unfortunately very little is done on that behalf.

what are the basic time preparation for ias ??
It depends on the schedule you are comfortable with. On an average 8 hours daily for 6 months can help you befriend with the subjects concerned. A good mentor is also required throughout.
