The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) was formally created in 1858, and the first posting of an IAS officer was during the British colonial era. The first batch of IAS officers served in various administrative capacities in different regions of British India.

On Merit but Option should be there since there are some physical requirement so you may be offered IFS.
