dont read new books for upsc mains for general studies paper ,rather refer to the books that you have read for prelims and update your knowledge from The Hindu,Indian Express and yojana magazine.if you will try to read many books ,yes you would definitely have more knowledge but you would burden yourself and might not be able to score in exam as is required of you.
