Therefore, candidates who have completed their class 12 education would need to pursue a bachelor's degree first before they become eligible to appear for the UPSC exam. The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the UPSC exam is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's degree program are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the degree examination along with their application for the UPSC exam. While it's not possible to appear for the UPSC exam immediately after passing class 12, candidates can start preparing for the exam during their undergraduate studies.
