News paper reading is an art. Many have high degree of ambiguity in reading news paper. "The Hindu" and "Indian Express" are some dailies recommended for UPSC Civil services exams preparation. Be it The Hindu or Indian Express, read only the news of National and International importance. Categorize the news as following subjects a) Schemes, plans, polices of union and state governments of India b) India's international relations and News of International importance. c) Security issues d) Indian economy, social development and sustainable development e) Issues in Environment, Ecology and climate change. After categorizing the news, just assess the news whether the news gets completed there itself, or it is an ongoing news like Doklam issue, Gorkhaland issues. When should I start preparing for UPSC EXAM. I m presently in 3rd year of BE. Shall I start from this year or should I wait for a year and then start my preparation next year? Will online coaching be beneficial or centre coaching? Guide me so that I can score a good rank in UPSC EXAM.
Classroom coaching was always the preferred mode, however if you have your basics already at place, then online mode saves a lot of time.

How should I prepare history subject for IAS?
(for BA or MA) and study from their it will help you to have a holistic idea which is very important for writing mains. If you have no primary knowledge of history then start with NCERT.
