due to its scientific nature, substantial overlap with the General Studies syllabus, scoring potential, and ability to be presented visually with maps and diagrams,

You learn when you are comfortable.

It's a good subject if you have interest in it... There are advantages too because the syllabus overaps with the main subjects... But keep in mind that the syllabus for geography optional is very vast plus you will have to prepare maps etc thoroughly
