By clearing UGC-NET Exam, you will be eligible for Lectureship/Assistant Professor in any Degree Colleges or PG Colleges through out India. Moreover, if you will clear JRF, then you can go for Ph.D from any University in India including IIT's.

Since you have done PG and interested on job you may start teaching in any of the Engineering colleges and register for Ph.D also as an external candidate. You should also write UGC NET exam in your field
