Before now, PTE is a good competitor - make sure it’s accepted by his institution before applying for it. TOEFL could also be a good choice if he wishes to go with Northern America as TOEFL is specifically a well-recognized exam in this region. Some of the countries he can apply without any such English language proficiency tests such as the UK, Singapore, Dubai, France, Poland, etc. So all the best . read less
