It is only the entrance exam required to appear for getting admission in foreign countries, it will not have any future scope, but the exam scores of TOEFL will be valid in the future for 2 years.

TOEFL is required for admissions to universities in the U.S.A at the masters, bachelors and PhD. levels. If you are not an American citizen, you must take this exam. Even if you have an educational background in an English medium institute you need to take this test to qualify for applications.
