Using Parameters in Calculations: Once you have a parameter, you can use it in calculations. For example, you can create a calculated field that uses the parameter as part of a calculation. This allows you to dynamically adjust calculations based on user input. Dynamic Filters: Parameters can act as dynamic filters in your visualizations. You can tie a parameter to a field in your dataset and use it to filter data. Users can interactively change the parameter's value, which in turn changes the filtered data in your visualization. Creating Interactive Dashboards: Parameters enhance interactivity in your dashboards. You can use a parameter to control various aspects of your dashboard, such as changing the measure being displayed, switching between different dimensions, or toggling between chart types. User-Defined Values: Parameters allow users to input values directly into the parameter control. For example, you can set up a parameter that lets users define a threshold value for highlighting data points on a chart.
