My hands get so tight while playing tabla that I suffer a lot of pain. What is the remedy ?

that's right. Practice with intervals is the only solution.

Remedy according to great mestero of tabla "Pt nayan ghosh ji" is always practice on short notations or bols of tabla with comfortable speed for long times gradually,in short span of time you will get some postive result for tight hands
