The perfect tutor

He is a coward... is the right one since you have used "who", the subject is supposed to be "he". Only if you have used "which" then the subject becomes "it"

'He' is the right choice because you have use 'who' in the later part of the sentence.

The correct sentence is "He is a coward.....". He is the subject of the sentence and not It. By using it the sentence will become a general statement on cowardice
