I think we should look at this from a practical perspective. Since it is the most widely spoken language, English should be promoted more and more for homogeneity and making life easier for people across the globe. Learning English doesn't mean forsaking your regional culture or language, it simply means finding a common tongue to communicate with people from different parts of the world. The word 'Anglicization' sounds political and should be avoided. Instead, the benefits of learning a universal language should be enjoyed. read less
