Dear Harsha. LISTENING is the key. It gets your brain to pick up tones and pronunciations faster and along with reading skills and speaking out words and sentences, success is guaranteed. Just Don't Give up. Far too many people expect to speak fluently in a couple of months without learning the basics.... ...more

Since it is the most widely spoken language, English should be promoted more and more for homogeneity and making life easier for people across the globe. Learning English doesn't mean forsaking your regional culture or language, it simply means finding a common tongue to communicate with people from different parts of the world. The word 'Anglicization' sounds political and should be avoided. Instead, the benefits of learning a universal language should be enjoyed.
