For singular possessive nouns, we use apostrophe ( ’ ) before s.

Examples: The house that belongs to Diana = Diana’s house

The car that belongs to Ashok = Ashok’s car

For plural possessive nouns, we use apostrophe ( ’ ) after s.

Examples: The mess of the officers = Officers’ mess

The class of the students = Students’ class
