SIMPLE PRESENT: POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SENTENCES

Usage:

  • To express one’s habits, general truths, repeated actions or unchanging situations, emotions and wishes.
  • To give instructions or directions
  • To express fixed arrangements , present or future

 

POSITIVE SENTENCES

STRUCTURE

Subject + Verb – 1st form (add or don’t add s/es) + Object.

Note: Add s/es to the 1st form of the verb (1st form of the verb given in the verb list ) depending on the subject used in the conversation.

For example:

  • Subject ‘I’ is always treated as first person in the English language and when adding a verb next to it, it should always be in the 1st form of the verb without s/es.

Examples:

  • I come every day.
  • I sing
  • I talk to the customers.
  • I like chocolates.
