If your vocabulary is weak it does not mean that you can not converse in English. You can still do so provided you are confident enough to speak in that language. In order to build up your confidence levels you can apply the mirror method as suggested by Dr. Sripathy.. Chose any topic on your own and speak on that topic by maintaining an eye contact with your reflection in the mirror. It will immensely help you to build up your confidence and the fear of rejection will automatically vanish after few days of practice. Please remember that " Rome was not built in a day ". On the other hand, write a few small sentences , and say them in front of the mirror, few times in a day. Repeat the pattern for a few days. Then make the sentences, a little longer, and continue. Speak to yourself ( not in front of the mirror), in animated conversation, as if you are talking to somebody. In public ,start saying 'thank you' ,'sorry' , 'please,.' etc.as much as you can. Don't think about fumbling. Please do the above mentioned techniques, it will be taken care of. Have the confidence, in yourself. read less

The reason why most of the people fumble is that they don't find the proper words at proper time. To overcome the fumbling you have to make yourself conversant with the language. Try reading good authors, watching good T.V Series or Hollywood movies, also you can listen to good English songs.
