Communication is never a one way thing but when you’re talking in a foreign language that you’re not comfortable your mind is doing a lot of extra work translating and composing the answers back in your mind. What you could is ask your mind to relax and listen and understand what the other person is saying then take your time to compose your answer and then bring it out. See the value here is not in quantity but in the quality and meaning of the worlds you give in your response. So i advise if you want to be clear and understandable then listen carefully before you draft your response. To be clear and understandable is to empathise with that person and open up in your conversion. Being vulnerable is a wonderful way to form a connection. And last but not least Follow the KIS ( Keep it simple ) formula. Do not use the heavy and difficult words in your conversation just to show off your knowledge about language. The more simple choice of words you will use, the clear you will sound to the other person. I hope it helps you. read less

Prepare well about the context in which one has to speak. Speak in short and simple sentences. Use pauses appropriately to convey the right punctuation. Avoid using complicated words when speaking as these may not be easily understood. Be grammatically correct.
