Why do Portuguese speakers have such a bad impression of the Spanish language?

Each language is a different way of seeing life..

No, Tagalog is an Austronesian language, not even an Indo-European language, much less a Romance language. The grammar and base vocabulary of Tagalog are wildly different. Any Spanish speaker expecting a free ride could end up disillusioned.
