For being a good soft skill trainer, one need to adopt a more human approach towards other person and an ability to anticipate the needs of others, even more than they themselves can. A trainer shouldn't give emphasis only to imparting knowledge to his/her student but should also help students to inculcate the concepts in his day to day life & motivating them for this is a primary requirement. Along with it, being patient, considerate & a true practitioner of what you preach is a most important quality. read less

In addition to all the above wonderful skills mentioned by other tutors, I believe , A good soft skills trainer - 1. Should be able to CAPTIVATE The ATTENTION of the trainees and drive them into a different world altogether - All through the power of flow of their words & stories. As stories capture anyones heart irrespective of age. As humans we relate ourselves to the characters in stories... So as a soft skills trainer, you should be able to share real time influential examples or self made creative charaters to help trainees to imagine themselves in that role & enable them to take action & then trainer can guide them accordingly. 2. A lot of trainees learn through visualization. SO soft skills trainer should be able to instill that visualization ability and create that virtual visualization in the minds of trainees as they learn various soft skills as they visualize themselves in that sitautions & implement various skills accordingly. 3. Trainees may forget the words in the presentations or ppts, but the pictures & real time visualizations either in the minds or in fornt of them practically - Will be in thier minds for ever , for many years. Hope this helps. Regards Smily read less
