No minister shall enter any polling station and place of poll counting, unless and untill he or she is a candidate of that constituency. 2. Official vehicle cannot be used for election campaing purpose. 3. Local police stationshould be well informed for any meeting at what venue and time. 4. Permision should be taken for using loudspeakers from the local police. 5. No liquor and money should be distributed during any election. read less

In addition to above the following rules are in the power of the Presiding officer ,1) he has executive powerds of a Magistrate .and can call police & evict any one disturbing the Election Poll Process..or unlawful entry of any candidate or current minister or legislator or any one in the 100 yards perimeter to the Poll Station .2) he cannot bring money or in kind or in liquor to influence the Voters3) he should not canvas his candidature withing poll station or withing poll perimeter of 100 yards. 3) no loud speakers or any electronic media cannot be allowefd in the election station.4) no official vehicle can be used inside the perimeter or coming into the polling station 4) polling boxes / machines must be handed over to the collection centre . If lost ,the poll presiding officer can be put in jail for rigorous punishment for 3 months .and may be suspended from the Job he is holding .. Dr k S Velmurugan Pondy read less
