General election is an election which occurs in a regular interval of time . By election also called bye-election occurs when a vacancy occurs between general election.

General election is one in which occurs as usual manner in state as because of the end of five year of a party rule but by election is one in which it occurs as because some reasons like sudden death of an MLA it occur in an unusual time due to this reason.
