pencil sketch needs a strong foundation of lines so start studying lines do lot of outside sketch create the visual that you witness then try on shading .work hard

you could create comic characters, storyboard, illustrations which are very helpful for animation use different type of medium for sketching like brush , charcoal, pastel colors , pens, etc and also practice it on penTab so that u could create your artwork digitally.

First you should Learn Technical Design, for 2D Art or 2D Sketching,it's depend of your speciality. Then you can be role for a Company square whom work in Design or Animation...
