you could create comic characters, storyboard, illustrations which are very helpful for animation use different type of medium for sketching like brush , charcoal, pastel colors , pens, etc and also practice it on penTab so that u could create your artwork digitally.

First you should Learn Technical Design, for 2D Art or 2D Sketching,it's depend of your speciality. Then you can be role for a Company square whom work in Design or Animation...
