Why do sketches look better than line art so often?

Artist ( fresher) , i can draw anything

Sketches are often quick and loose. This allows the mark making to be fresh and open. when you begin to line the work you are making the marks all the same weight and it takes the freshness away from the original sketch.

Very often, sketches feel more lively than finished art. They are rougher, looser, and less rigid. That makes them look much more energetic. The lines flow freely and are full of vim and vigor.

Know multi instruments like piano , guitar and harmonica

Line drawings have no shadings and it looks flat compare to sketches
