SAP HANA is best to start your career with Sap as it is a graphical interface tool and you dont require coding in that from version Hana 2.0 . As a technologist i have a lot of faith on the fundamentals which HANA is based on. From marketing point of view SAP has positioned HANA well and it is gaining popularity. I cannot believe that traditional DBs will still be used 10 years from now as we have reached a point where main memory is cheaper and processing power can scale up a lot with parallel processors. Technology companies will leave no stone unturned to transform/create products leveraging on the hardware technologies. And businesses will be quick to implement these products. HANA is one such product that you can safely put your bet on. In the possibility it fails, you have nothing to loose as fundamentals of HANA are no different than any competing product. read less
