Hi, Its good that you are thinking to move from testing profile to SAP profile.
But Before moving to SAP Basis, You should have brief overview about BASIS activities. In case you feel you are comfortable in going into this domain, then you should go. There are other modules as well in SAP like SALES, Purchase,finance,Service, ABAP. Just get understanding about more these modules then choose accordingly. There are Testing requirement also in each modules.

Hello Anuj,
As per your interest and related experience you can migrate from one skill to another, there are no limitations. As you have asked about SAP Basis its a technical module in SAP, here you have another option SAP ABAP (programmer). For SAP Basis you need to have networking experience, and for SAP ABAP you should have programming background such as C, C++ language.
If you don't have an interest in technical modules, you can plan for functional modules like SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, PP-QM, PS and PM. To prepare a career in this module, you need to have domain experience of at least 2-3 years in a particular area.

Hi Anuj, It is essential to understand the concept of SAP Basis which entirely revolves in SAP server maintenance and handling user roles and responsibilities. Since you are a tester so why don't you start a career as an SAP Tester. First, learn any functional module in SAP like SD, MM, PP and QM then learn SAP Testing tools like Solution Manager available in the market which will help you to get a good job and also help you to get a big package. Since SAP BASIS is Hardware Administrative module which requires networking and Database Maintenance exposure and experience, suggest you go for a functional module training and placement like SD- Sales and Distribution, MM-material Management, FICO Financial Accounting and Controlling etc. based on your background and aptitude.

Even there are other many modules Like FICO, MM, PP which you can think but if you have decided to move to Basis, then I believe its better you can discuss with SAP Basis consultant.
