Hi, I am a mechanical CAD engineer with 3 years of experience. Now I am interested in taking a course in SAP PLM. How does it help for my career growth and will i considered as a fresher as i am switching from CAD engineering to IT services(SAP PLM). Please help me out with this.

Yes, you can go for PLM, mm, pm kind of modules. Make sure to get certification under the same. And yes you will be considered as fresher but still, you will get some weightage on domain knowledge.

Both Cad and sap plm are both different courses for one another. But if you apply internally through your company department, you can do the same in the company. So, if you are switching your service pls change where you are doing your current job already.just change the dept in the equal company only....

Hii, You might be experienced in CAD but SAP PLM mainly deals with EHS module. If you have a background of Environmental Sciences..or Induatrial safety..then you can opt for this particular module. Or getting aquainted with the domain is a challange.

Anyone who thinks just by doing a course in SAP he will get into the list of high salary drawing people, it's just wrong. Your current domain experience of a CAD engineer will also be of good use as you would be able to understand concepts very fast and put to use.
