Coming from a background in Carnatic vocals, music has always been an important part of my life. Over the years though, I lost touch with regular practice and eventually even vocalizing became difficult. I had also tried learning piano — both Western and Indian styles — with only moderate success. Meeting Siddharth through a common friend turned out to be a wonderful turning point in my musical journey. His approach to teaching guitar has been incredibly effective and motivating. Even though the classes are completely online and I’m based in the US, the learning experience has been smooth, structured, and surprisingly personal. One thing I really appreciate is how Siddharth balances songs with theory. He has a great sense of introducing concepts through music that keeps me interested while still building a strong foundation. The only real challenge on my side has been finding enough time to practice consistently because of work and life commitments — something many adults can probably relate to! Yet Siddharth always manages to keep me motivated and engaged without making the process feel stressful. I also want to mention this for anyone hesitating because of age, distance, or online learning: none of those have been barriers in my experience. Starting or restarting music later in life is absolutely possible with the right teacher, and Siddharth creates an environment that is encouraging, patient, and adaptable to individual pace and goals. Really grateful for the experience and looking forward to continuing the journey.
