Teaching Experience in detail in Instructional Design classes
My teaching experience in Visual Arts has been strongly rooted in instructional design, curriculum development, and the creation of meaningful learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and student engagement. Over the years, I have designed and implemented learning programs for middle and high school students, with a particular focus on inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches that align with curriculum standards and assessment objectives. A significant aspect of my role has involved designing units of study that integrate artistic skill development, conceptual understanding, research, reflection, and creative exploration. Using backward design principles, I begin by identifying desired learning outcomes and assessment criteria before developing learning activities, resources, and instructional strategies that support student success. This approach ensures alignment between curriculum goals, classroom instruction, and assessment practices. Within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, I have developed interdisciplinary learning experiences that connect Visual Arts with global issues, cultural perspectives, sustainability, and personal expression. These experiences encourage students to investigate real-world contexts while developing artistic techniques and conceptual understanding. I have designed assessment rubrics, process portfolio structures, exhibition guidelines, and reflective learning tools that support both formative and summative assessment. My instructional design experience also includes creating differentiated learning pathways to accommodate diverse student abilities, interests, and learning styles. I regularly develop scaffolded resources, visual guides, inquiry prompts, critique frameworks, and digital learning materials that enable students to engage with content independently and collaboratively. Technology integration has been an important component of my practice, including the use of digital art platforms, online portfolios, collaborative tools, and multimedia resources to enhance learning and provide varied opportunities for student expression. In addition to classroom instruction, I have contributed to curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives by designing teacher resources, project templates, interdisciplinary frameworks, and exhibition-based learning experiences. These projects often involve collaboration with colleagues across subject areas to create authentic learning opportunities that promote creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills. A key strength of my instructional design practice is the continuous evaluation and refinement of learning experiences based on student performance, feedback, and emerging educational best practices. By analyzing learning outcomes and reflecting on instructional effectiveness, I ensure that curriculum materials remain engaging, inclusive, and responsive to student needs. Through my experience as a Visual Arts educator, I have developed a strong ability to design learner-centered educational experiences that balance creativity with academic rigor, support diverse learners, and promote meaningful, long-term learning outcomes.

The subject in the painting is very important. However, artist over a period of time from ancient cave painting to postmodern have depicted their choice of subject matter in different styles. The cave paintings are the response to a visual narration of daily life activities which includes portrayal of animals, humans and decorative motifs. As artist developed their painting styles and moved from depiction of mytholoigical, see renaissance or classical painting, characters to representing line , colour, form and shape as the main subject matter for the painting. For instance, Paul Jackson created his paintings without representing any naturalistic forms but used layers of dripped lines to make his paintings.
Hope this might be helpful. Thanks
