Hi Shridhar, I also worked in ITES BFS domain. I also had the same concerns as you at a time. I am assuming that you want to go into a pure play financial firm, or an IB. Is that correct? What I did was, and which you can also do is this: you can probably go for FRM or CFA course, depending on your choice from among Finance Risk Management or Equity/Debt research, Private Equity, VC etc. Completely depends on what you want to do in this industry. But be advised that both of these courses are extremely tough (yes, even for an MBA in Finance graduate, I am from IIM Kozhikode by the way), and require huge amount of work to get through. Moreover, FRM has 2 parts, and CFA has 3, and till all parts are cleared, you won't be conferred with a pass certificate for that course. Once you pass either course (even initial parts), you can start applying for pure play finance firms or IBs.
