IELTS is Undertaken by Cambridge University and is pencil and paper based examination (some centres provide computer based tests also), further the evaluation is done manually. On the other hand, PTE is conducted by Pearson and is purely computer based examination as well as the evaluation is done virtually through a series of of complex algorithm. PTE is still not much accepted in Canada, USA and European countries while,with PTE you can apply for Australia and New Zealand effortlessly. read less
