The Pearson Language Test conducts a English proficiency exam for young students between the age group of 6 – 13, along with UK based Edexcel based on Common European Framework of Reference. This exam is referred to as PTE Young Learners Exam.
The PTE Young Learners exam has four levels of assessment namely Firstwords, Springboard, Quickmarch and Breakthrough. All four levels of the PTE Young Learners test is conducted orally.
Through the above mentioned four levels of PTE Young Learners exam, the goal is to test four English skills of each applicant – Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing.
There are four results/outcome of the PTE Young Learners Exam. They are:
Fail(offered certificate of attendance) | Below 45% |

Distinction | 85% – 90% |
The origin of PTE Young Learners Exam dates back to 1982, then developed by the University of London.
The PTE Young Learners exam is held thrice in a year in the months of May, June and November.

The PTE Young Learners test result is available after 12-weeks from the date of exam.
The PTE Young Learner exam questions are based on the activities of a hypothetical family called the Browns.
Participating candidates in PTE Young Learners exam can wear school uniform or normal clothes (neat and clean) on the exam day.
The PTE Global Website provides free preparatory content for PTE Young Learners Exam. For good preparation of a child for the PTE Young Learners Exam, one can refer to this website.
The PTE Young Learners score card is sent by post to the registered address of each applicant. If students are registered by their school, the PTE Young Learners report card can be sent to their respective school address as well.
