Shy is someone who is quiet around people in general, but is expressive in a situation that makes him/her feel comfortable enough. Whereas, Lack of confidence is when someone isn't shy, but is nearly unable to establish contact with others and/or show his personality. Once you get the problem, solutions are simple. Stand in front of a mirror and start talking. Use your favourite movie and practice one of its dialogue. I would suggest go for a movie called V for vendetta and practice the dialogues of V. 2. Talk to you friends and ask for their help and tell them to give you an honest feedback. 3. Go and start feeding stray dogs, cows and people in need, this will help you overcome your shyness.
