The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate apparently ordinary people to unusual effort. The tough problem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people. I was studying in a boarding school in Mussoorie and had barely managed to pass my 8th grade. My parents were rightly concerned about how I would perform in my 10th board exams and decided to bring me back home. This is when I joined Shobha ma'am in 9th grade. She has had a huge impact on my learning which goes beyond the classroom. She always has words of inspiration; teaches the importance of hard work and positively motivates to keep improving. She has a knack of bringing out the best in each of her students. It was her dedication, patience and perseverance that I not only passed my 10th grade with flying colours but also went on to top Delhi University during my graduation, complete my MBA from a top US University, pass the Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst exams. She did not just educate us, she taught us the importance of education. It will be difficult to describe in a few words the impact Shobha ma'am has had on my outlook on learning and life in general. I can never thank her enough for her support, positive attitude, guidance and even her discipline. I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs. Shobha Bhutani without any reservations. Thanks a lot, Shobha ma'am.
