No, but u have to give them a valid reason for a one -year drop

A drop certainly has an unfavorable impression on the interviewer. But if you can explain the reason of your drop in a convincing manner, it won't have any effect at all. A lot of students have taken drop for a year and converted IIM A or C next year.
