Hi Neha, It's better to have a job and simultaneously prepare for CAT. 1. It will help you with you in getting into a good bschool. Since a lot of colleges have significant weightage to workex. (eg: Calcutta has 8 points for workex. Just to put that into context, the difference in the final score between a 99.5 and a 99.9 is just around 3 points. So having workex under your belt helps a lot.) 2. Also, to be honest, CAT prep doesn't require the full day off for an entire year. Having limited time will make you use it more economically and effectively, and around 25-30 hours of quality prep a week should be more than sufficient to get you through. Thanks, Ravi read less
