Renu sundriyal

The most likely piece is the “Le Sacre du Printemps” (The Rite of Spring) of Igor Stravinsky. It breaks the rules of classical ballet - and even worse, tries to break the traditional rules of classical music, which makes the piece so intense that a squeamish classical music listener would not hear the rest of this 25– to 30-minute orchestra presentation.

The strong intensity of this piece focuses on its musical expressions of ritually-driven primitivism, promiscuity, lust, rage, and even violence and death, as depicted in the story of the ballet, where Stravinsky sometimes treats the whole orchestra in this piece as one big drum.

When this orchestral piece set to a ballet tried to get its first live performance in the early 20th century, the crowd responded with boos and shouts of strong disapproval to the point that the performance was definitely interrupted.

Renu sundriyal But most music scholars point to Johann Sebastian Bach as the inventor of classical music as we know it. Bach, who was born in 1685, is known as the Father of classical music. During his lifetime, Bach composed more than 1,100 works, including over 300 sacred cantatas.

Here are some of the most iconic and "badass" classical music composition:

Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" - This bombastic, heavily orchestrated excerpt from the opera Die Walküre has become one of the most recognizable and thrilling pieces of classical music.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 - This powerful, dramatic symphony opens with one of the most recognizable musical motifs of all time. The driving, forceful energy throughout the piece is considered one of Beethoven's most bold and triumphant works.

Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring - This innovative, avant-garde ballet score features dissonant, primal rhythms and harmonies that were considered extremely shocking and provocative when it premiered in 1913.

Baroque music emphasized ornate polyphony and robust basso continuo accompaniment, while the Classical period favored structured melodies, harmonic clarity, and a distinguished form of tonal harmony.

Choosing the right tanpura depends on your specific needs and preferences. Here are some factors to consider: 1. Size: Tanpuras come in various sizes, including: - Small (travel or practice tanpura) - Medium (standard concert tanpura) - Large (deep, rich sound for advanced players) 2. Tuning: Decide on the pitch range you need: - Low (male voice or deep instruments) - Medium (standard pitch for most instruments) - High (female voice or high-pitched instruments) 3. Material: - Wood (traditional, warm sound) - Fiberglass (durable, resistant to temperature changes) - Carbon fiber (lightweight, modern sound) 4. Number of strings: - 4-string (standard, balanced sound) - 5-string (added depth, resonance) 5. Playing style: - Traditional (manual plucking) - Electric (amplified, easy to play) 6. Budget: - Student (entry-level, affordable) - Professional (high-quality, rich sound) Based on these factors, consider the following: - For beginners, a small to medium-sized, 4-string, wooden tanpura is a good starting point. - For advanced players, a larger, 5-string, fiberglass or carbon fiber tanpura may offer a deeper sound. - For specific pitch ranges or playing styles, choose a tanpura that suits your needs. Consult with a music teacher, instrument maker, or experienced player to find the ideal tanpura for you. read less
