Both are different sports but both help in different ways.. swimming helps in endurance and kickboxing helps in cardio and self-defense

If the teenager enjoying for team activities or low impact exercises and interest in water sports swimming is a better.On the other hand,if the teenager looking for high energy exercise includes self defense,combat skills kickboxing better for them.
