There is no right age for learning music. However, it's better to begin at an early age because when he'll be just 10 yrs old, he's gonna be way ahead from the kids of his age. Ofcourse at this age it's going to take twice the amount of time to learn but its better if you're going to make him learn keyboard...

Music Teacher

If a kid has got natural talent for music, it could be early as well. 4-5 years is the right age to begin. Start his classes from a proper guru and continue it. Surely he will be a great musician.

The right age for learning anything related to music is between 5 to 6 years. This age is the best to build interest.

The keyboard is a perfect instrument. Don't go for guitar as fingers get hard and cause pain or violin as a hunched back develops. You can go for any other instrument as well.

One can start learning music at early stages like five years plus and if the child shows interest in music, he/she can even begin to learn earlier. Despite that, one can start learning at any age. When the music calls you, there is no perfect age. It's never too late to start learning.

Trained Drummer, Musician

4.5 years is a good age for kids to start learning in general. And if your Kid is showing interest, find a tutor who can sit with him and give some trial classes. Also, ask the kid if he wants to learn/play keyboard and why. It helps to open up for a conversation and guide further.

The best age is as early as possible. Music cannot be learnt; it requires practice to do better. If your son finds happiness in it, then let him pursue and make sure that he learns from a good guru or a musician. Music has no end. It can only be practised.

How much time will be take to learn and to ready for Casio keyboard ?
Well it takes 8 weeks to learn the basic with good foundation. And regular practice of 30 min a day will lead to your progress depending on your level of speed. You will be ready to play a simple song at least by 1 year comfortably.
