What are the differences in keyboard layouts between different regions (e.g., QWERTY vs. AZERTY)?

QWERTY is most commonly used keyboard layout. Whereas some used to use AZERTY.

What are major chords and minor chords in keyboard?
The difference between Major and Minor chords is use of the 3rd note. If we'll use the third note flat it will become a minor chord and will produce a soft sound and if we'll use the third note normal the chord will be major.

Does it make as much sense to train one’s voice with a guitar as a keyboard/piano?
Yes, it does make sense. Infact it's very important to train your voice along with the instrument so can u can sing well while playing the instrument.
