What is static block? Is it same as static method?

Static blocks are also called Static initialization blocks. The static block, is a block of statement inside a Java class that will be executed when a class is first loaded in to the JVM Static blocks will be called only once.

It all depends on you. If you are already aware of programming then it is definetly possible to learn java at home. But if learn through a tutor then you can learn easily.
