Pragya Thakur

I am a teacher with around 5 years of teaching experience, working with students from Classes 9 to 12. I primarily teach Mathematics to CBSE students and also teach English, Social Science, and Spoken English. Over the years, I have worked with students with different learning levels and requirements, helping them strengthen their concepts, improve their academic performance, and become more confident in their studies.

I have completed my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and hold a Master’s degree in Political Science as well as a second Master’s degree in English Literature. My academic background has given me strong subject knowledge across Social Science and English, while also helping me develop effective communication and teaching skills. I use this knowledge to explain topics clearly and make lessons easier for students to understand and apply.

For the past 3 years, I have been working as a teacher at an esteemed coaching institute, where I have taught students preparing for competitive and scholarship examinations such as NDA, Olympiad, and NTSE. Working with students preparing for these examinations has helped me understand the importance of conceptual clarity, regular practice, accuracy, and effective exam preparation. It has also strengthened my ability to identify individual learning gaps and provide focused guidance.

My teaching methodology is structured as well as student-friendly. I prepare a lesson plan for every class and begin by explaining the concepts clearly before moving towards application-based questions and problem-solving. I encourage students to actively participate in the class, ask questions, and clarify their doubts without hesitation. I believe that a classroom becomes more effective when students are involved in the learning process rather than only listening to explanations.

I use practical examples, interactive discussions, questioning, and problem-solving exercises wherever relevant. For Mathematics, I focus on helping students understand the logic behind a concept and apply it correctly instead of simply memorizing formulas or steps. For English and Social Science, I focus on clear explanations, important concepts, communication, and structured preparation so that students can understand and retain what they study.

I provide both online and offline classes and use tools such as a whiteboard, educational videos, and PPT presentations to make lessons more engaging and easier to follow. I adapt my teaching according to the student's learning pace and encourage regular practice. I also pay attention to the doubts and difficulties students face so that I can provide additional explanations or examples whenever necessary.

My goal is to help students develop strong subject knowledge along with confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs help with Mathematics for Classes 9 to 12, wants to strengthen English or Social Science, improve Spoken English, or prepare for examinations such as NDA, Olympiad, or NTSE, I aim to provide clear, systematic, and personalized guidance. I believe consistent practice, conceptual understanding, and the right support can help students make meaningful progress in their academics.
