In simple terms, Mathematics is all about numbers and the concepts, forms, logics, and models of numbers whereas Physics is all about the decoding the science behind the physical world (which is basically the application of mathematics). While most students understand numbers, only a few has a true grasp of their applications in real world scenarios. This gap coupled with the lack of understanding about the fundamentals (such as atomic structure, inertia, magnetism, electric charge to name a few) explains why Physics feels harder than Maths.

Physics can feel harder to some students because there we require application of formulas and sometimes it is also required for us to take assumptions into consideration and amend the formula and in mathematics students can easily solve most of the problems by mere using the same formula just doing that here and there. And one more thing is that we need to understand the question in physics and create its scene to solve it but not so in mathematics. And I personally feel that physics is the easiest subject of all.
